Project Info
Since 2012 I’ve worked as one of the primary organizers and curators for the Indie MEGABOOTH, a showcase of independent games and developers from across the globe that has appeared at major events such as PAX West, PAX East, GDC, E3, Gamescom, EGX, and more.
A large number of games and studios who have shown at a MEGABOOTH event have gone on to find critical and commercial success – many having exhibited for the first time ever at one of our events. As part of the core team, I’ve been honored to serve as one of the primary judges for selecting games to showcase from the vast number of submissions we’ve historically received for each event. In this role, I’ve brought my expertise as a designer and my critical evaluation skills to spot upcoming titles which are unique, inspiring, and often developed by newcomers who are full of potential.
Additionally, I’ve handled a variety of of responsibilities and work areas such as managing the submissions process, sponsor coordination, and on-site logistics and equipment distribution. I’ve also managed the organization’s website and other technology and tools infrastructure. Periodically, I’ve provided consulting to our featured developers drawn from my professional experiences in game development.
The MEGABOOTH has been a critical part of my contribution to the games industry, and I’ve counted myself lucky to have been an integral part of it over the years.
