As of late I’ve been fortunate enough to have some very fun freelance projects come across my what-passes-for-a-desk. One such project that I just recently complete was for an interesting company based out of Massachussetsand New Jersey, called The Aardvark Brigade, for the website of UK-based Twisted Records.
Aardvark (henceforth to be notated as “AB”) has some really awesome projects under their belt, and I was extremely excited to work wth them. They’ve produced mini-sites for the Dark Knight, Spiderman, and 300 soundtracks, websites for bands such as Static-X and Mute Math, and even some work for Dow Jones. They work in Flash-based sites as well as more standards-friendly traditional markup pages. This particular project involved taking a prefab design provided by AB and converting it to XHTML/CSS/JS/etc so that they could then drop in the necessary server-side code to populate the pages with actual data. And since I also have a special place in my heart for house beats and other electronic styled music (which is what Twisted specializes in), this project was particularly satisfying to me.
The Twisted site is not yet live as of this posting, but last I knew they were very close. For the time being please enjoy some screenshots below:
