  • Client: Matthew Stublefield (SilverPen Publishing)
  • What I did… Concepting & Design, HTML & CSS, jQuery Customizations, Ad Service Integration, WordPress Integration
  • See it in action: http://silverpenpub.net/

My friend and fellow techy, geek, D&D player, and Warcraft aficionado Matthew Stublefield is an aspiring self-publisher who has been a stalwart addition to the Web almost since its text-based beginnings.  Matt has maintained his own site and used it as a staging ground for his writings, theological musings, poetic ramblings, and technology reviews for years.  But Matt recently began to understand that even with all of his experience, he never could quite get his web presence to fit who he was and convey what he wants.  I offered to help him out, and the results have been fantastic.

Matt needed a site that would show all of his work in a concise way, encourage more audience participation in his articles, and above all have the trendy yet elegant appearance that all writiers covet. I worked with him and over a relatively short period were able to ditch his cookie-cutter WordPress theme for a custom overhaul that was exactly what he was looking for. Memorable colors and textures, hide-and-show menu items, some jQuery spice for the search, a dash of humor, widgets all over the place: this site has it all.

Matt wrote a glowing review of my efforts and our mutual process, and you can read it here.
