Epic Title Goes Here

This is the paragraph where I write something witty about life and showcase how unique and trendy I am.  I believe LEGOs are one of the greatest inventions produced by mankind.  I think the news media has it all wrong.  I think Arthur Dent had it right in the end.  I sometimes ponder offering a ride to someone I see trudging along the sidewalk in an effort to make the world just a little bit better, but have yet to do it.  I’m a vegetarian for all of the wrong reasons.  I play the saxophone, I sing in a choir, I listen to bluegrass, and I write insightful blog articles in my head that never seem to make it into the Tiny pane.

From 8-5 (view my résumé)

I work as a web designer/developer…emphasis on the former over the latter.  I love this industry and the “designer” role specifically because it combines just the right amount of creativity with analytical skill, which I think sums me up pretty well (the people I meet on the street may think differently).  I am in complete bliss when designing, XHML-ing, CSS-ing, jQuery-ing, and sometimes PHP/ColdFusion-ing.  I love the ever-changing nature of my chosen profession and how much its culture permeates the world around us more and more with each passing day.  Except for Twitter.

Nights & Weekends

I am hopelessly in love with a girl that I intend to marry on October 17th, 2009.  It’s so perfect, I keep waiting to accidentally open the wrong door and find a room full of monitoring equipment ala: The Truman Show.  That hasn’t happened yet, and she still seems to love me…despite my best efforts.

I am also hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft, which has asserted its alpha-male mentality by making me forget that I do, in fact, have a sizable collection of other games that I could also use to waste my free time.  I love cooking with the aforementioned love of my life, I try to hit the gym regularly, and I read constantly (especially when at the gym…which makes it bearable).

About This Site

This site is my playground, a place where I can write about whatever comes to mind and post things that I find interesting.  I know that makes it pretty much like every other site/blog in existence, but what can you do?  We’re all uniquely the same.

My interests typically include web design and development, gaming, Internet culture, and generally anything that’s shiny and looks good.  This blog is named for a phrase a friend and co-worker of mine would use several times in every conversation.
